1. Fiber first
We select microfiber polyester, cotton and acrylic blends for softness, stitch definition and durability — every candidate fiber is crocheted and worn before it's approved.
2. Small-batch color
Shades are mixed and dyed in small runs, never mass production. That's how a pastel stays powdery and a jewel tone stays deep, batch after batch.
3. Steam setting
Every run is steam-set so the color survives years of washing without bleeding or fading. It's the slowest step, and the one we'll never skip.
4. Hand checks
Texture, twist and loft are checked by hand. Skeins that don't match the standard don't ship — they become studio samples and test swatches.
5. Numbered shades
Each approved shade gets a permanent number in our library. Numbers appear on labels and color cards, so the exact shade you used is the exact shade you reorder — even across dye lots.
6. The color card
Finally, every yarn line gets a hand-assembled color card with real samples of every shade. It's the honest way to choose color — yarn in hand, not pixels on a screen.
